New plasterboards receive all types of finishes, paint, wallpaper, tiling ...
In renovation, it is simply necessary to respect a few basic precautions:
1 / Old painting
After washing, filling and sanding, we
generally finds a support equivalent to
the initial state of the plate.
Scaled or powdery parts are
eliminated
2 / Old wallpaper
Steam take off the old wallpaper
does not pose any particular problem if you have taken the
precaution, before installing the wallpaper, to
apply a penetrating print coat.
If necessary, the bottom is repaired by a
filling, sanding followed by a new
print layer to receive the new
wallpaper.
If the old wallpaper was laid without a layer
printing, tear off anything that does not adhere,
sand to remove any roughness, and coat
the entire wall before laying the new paper.
3 / Old tiles
Depending on the specifics of the site, several
possibilities are offered:
Peel off the old tile using a riffle. This
work must be done with care so as not to
not damage the plate.
If necessary, replace the damaged parts
according to the explanations given below.
The roughness of the old tile adhesive is
removed by scraping or sanding.
You can avoid this tedious operation by
sticking by stud with adhesive mortar (map), in
first passing a bonding primer,
a new BA 13 plate.
You can also paste a new tile on
the old tiling, previously passing a
adhesion primer.
Replacement of a deteriorated part on a

Trace the cutout of the part to be replaced
preferably following a rectangular path.
Cut with a saw, remove the cut part
and dust off the contours.
Slide and screw two F530 profiles or uprights

Cut a plate of the same thickness as the plate already placed at the sides of the opening.
Position the plate and screw it onto the profiles every 0.30 m.
Caulk the joint with the map or the plaster.

If the structures contain mineral wool or if the deterioration is too severe (loose cardboard, loose lining, scalloped ceiling), the structures must be replaced.
If damage is limited, dry the items as quickly as possible.
Quick drying prevents the appearance of mold and deeper degradation.
Do not shake items until they are dry. After drying, the works will regain all their resistance.
If mold appears, treat the surfaces with a bactericidal fungicide (eg bleach).
Revise the seals. Redo the paintings and finishes after complete drying.
The mold on the walls is formed by microscopic fungi. These fungi appear in the form of moss, halos or efflorescences of white, green, black or blue color, as well as a musty odor.
These molds appear on walls but also fabrics, tile joints or windows and degrade wall or floor coverings.
In addition, mold promotes the appearance of cockroaches and cockroaches.
